Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs or designee is authorized to act for the President of the University regarding the powers and duties delegated to the President in the Board of Regents Governance, Standing Orders, Chapter 1, Section 4, including the execution of grant and contract awards for research, development, service, and training, and agreements, assignments, and other documents necessary for the implementation of Executive Order No. 36, Inventions, Discoveries, and Copyright, and Administrative Policy Statement 59.4, Technology Transfer Administration, Revenue Distribution, and Disclosure.

Senior Vice President for Finance, Planning & Budgeting, Chief Financial Officer

The Senior Vice President for Finance, Planning & Budgeting, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or designee is authorized to act for the President of the University regarding:

  • Certification of the federal cost accounting standards board disclosure statement;
  • Negotiation of indirect cost recovery rates;
  • Reporting expenditures and requesting reimbursement from a research sponsor, including any certifications required therewith;
  • Releasing a research sponsor from additional claims of reimbursement on completed contracts; and
  • Negotiation and resolution of audit disputes or other prior contract-related disputes.
